Too much corruption = flaky hardware (possibly software RAID or OS too)
to me...that's why I suggested you get to a known stable platform, even if it means having it run slower for your users.

Try to cut down the gobs of sorted columns in views. That's a massive processor/disk suck. Get your users to list the things they use or rip out stuff and put back stuff as they notice they're missing features ;-)
